Christmas wouldn't be the same without the presence of traditional culinary offerings, from mince pies to fruitcake, and Brussels sprouts to mulled drinks - even for those of us with alternative tastes these treats often form part of the essential Christmas 'experience'. Tiina's incredible chocolate fruitcake features dried fruit, cinnamon, nutmeg, orange juice, cocoa powder and powdered sugar amongst a host of other ingredients.
After preparation, cut a snowflake stencil from paper, and place it on top of the cake. Dust the cake with powdered sugar and remove the stencil for a beautiful seasonal look that's sure to impress family and friends alike!
Mulled Apple Cider
This simple mulled apple cider warms up the night with its invitingly cozy scent of the holidays. A simple festive treat, it can be prepared with apple cider, a cinnamon stick, vanilla, nutmeg and clementines. Served hot this mulled cider is a warming taste for the perfect winter.
Halloween Decorative Inspiration
Halloween and Thanksgiving together mark the beginning of the late festive season, and whilst primarily North American celebrations, a growing European consciousness has led to an increasing number of decoration ideas from this side of the Atlantic.
