We make a version of these quite often. They are so delicious and very addicting! I woke up this morning feeling the same way about the warm sun. Looking forward to my morning walk!

Looks yummy, I will try to make some this weekend!

Maunika

Love this post Tiina. I recently tossed steamed edamame beans in chilli & garlic. My fav with a hint of heat.

A simple recipe... but the perfect snack to go with a nice cold beer. Now all we need is some 70 degree weather.

I know that these would not be safe around me. You need a sign saying "warning! danger!"

Krista

What lovely memories you brought back with this post! My brother Ryan used to make these for us when we all lived together. :-) How I miss them. And him. :-)

Liz

These look great. I never can resist a bowl of cashews!

Sylvie @ Gourmande in the Kitchen

I make a version of this, but usually with a mixture of nuts, next time I'll try your recipe.

Maria

What a great snack!

Your blog is so beautiful!!! I just found you today--excited to add another gorgeous blog to my reading list!

Tammy

Hi Tiina, I love the idea, and yesterday we ate on the terrace, basking in the warm, warm sun. In the south of France, spring feels imminent. So some zesty cashews would not be out of place. What do you mean by 'dark syrup'? Molasses?

Lisa

Yum...these sound delicious!

Valerie

looks delicious and would love to snack these while watching a good movie on the rainy Sunday we're going to have... I have the same question as Tammy : what is your dark syrup like ? please.

tiina

Thank you so much for the comments, everyone. Smiling over here reading them:)

Dark syrup has a bit to stronger flavor compared to light golden syrup. Much like brown sugar. Golden syrup works in this recipe just as well - it gives them chewy texture. Molasses is also quite close to dark syrup.

betty

its quite the ooposite here we have just finished summer and now feeling the coldness coming :)
